Deseriee Ibarra, LICSW

My name is Deseriee Ibarra, I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker. I attended University of Southern California and received my Master's in Social Work in 2021. I have worked with the youth and young adult population and have a diverse background including working with people with trauma, crisis, depression, anxiety, grief and loss and disruptive behaviors in schools and community settings. I enjoy using the strengths based and holistic approach through Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. I think it is important to use your strengths and supports to achieve your goals and exploring what those are together. My clients typically tell me accomplishments they are proud of and their families explain how they have supported and observed changes in my clients' actions to feel better. I believe in a trust based relationship and meeting with clients where they are in their path to achieve success in their goals. Mostly, clients tell me they can't wait to learn and meet with me at each session to grow and obtain new skills to implement in their daily lives.
